About Rachel
You might have guessed by now that I love food – start talking to me about food and I won’t stop. I love suggesting recipes or giving advice. I spend most of my time in the kitchen, either cooking for my little family or friends. I also used to run a secret supper/brunch club where 12 people were crammed into my flat for some delicious food and good chat. I live in Brixton, home to one of the best markets in London, and I love it.
I don’t really do social media – is it just me that hates Twitter? But, I do looove Pinterest, so come and find me there. I love emails too, so feel free to get in touch rachel[at]whatrachelate[dot]com
Hungry?
These are some of my favourite recipes
Danish pastries: finally, I found the perfect cinnamon bun/breakfast pastry recipe.
Sweetcorn fritters: the perfect brunch recipe. You can make them in advance too.
Tomato jam: so easy and cheap (it’s made with tinned tomatoes), I put this on everything.
Coconut bread: Another good brunch recipe, but also lovely as a new parent/neighbour gift or just to cheer someone up. You can slice it and freeze, then just pop in the toaster and slather in butter for an instant pick-me-up.
